Everything you need to know before you build.
What material are FormRig parts made from?
All FormRig components are 3D printed in PETG, a durable, slightly flexible filament that’s more heat-resistant than standard PLA. PETG is ideal for desk mounts because it won’t warp from sunlight or heat from nearby equipment.
How long does printing and shipping take?
Every order is printed to order in Auckland, NZ. Allow 2-5 business days for printing, plus shipping time. NZ standard shipping typically takes 1-3 business days after dispatch.
Do I need to drill into my desk?
No permanent modifications needed. The desk clamp base grips any desk edge up to 60mm thick. The grommet base fits standard desk cable holes. Neither requires drilling.
Can I mix and match components from different kits?
Yes, every FormRig link connects to every other link. There are no incompatible parts. You can start with a kit and add individual components, or build entirely à la carte from the Build page.
What colours are available?
Matte Black, Clean White, and FormRig Orange (#F4600C). You can choose a different colour for each component group: Arms, Base, Hardware, and Mounts, within the same order.
Will I need to source any extra parts to assemble my FormRig?
No. Every kit and component comes complete, including any hardware needed for assembly beyond the 3D printed parts. There’s nothing extra to buy or track down.
